Traditional centrifugal pumps require at least 500mm submergence and will cavitate in shallow conditions.
A: We recommend an HPU with flow rate of 40–100 Lpm and operating pressure of 160–200 bar. If you already have an existing HPU on your emergency vehicle, send us your HPU specs and we will verify compatibility. For customers without an HPU, we offer matching power unit packages.
Q3: How quickly can the pump be deployed from truck arrival to full operation?
A: Two workers can complete connection and deployment within 5–8 minutes. The pump weighs approximately 45kg, requires no lifting equipment, and uses quick-release hydraulic couplings.
A: No. The hydraulic drive motor can run continuously, but the pump end requires water for lubrication and cooling of the mechanical seal. Running dry for more than 30 seconds will damage the seal. We include a dry-run protection sensor as an optional add-on.
